When you think about the high-tech world, many big names come up. There are few “big names” out there. However, if you haven’t heard of Rami Beracha, you may need to catch up on your high-tech world knowledge. As one of the most famous high-tech investors in Israel, Rami Beracha has already found his impact on the rest of the world.
Before transforming the tech world, Rami Beracha played tennis. Rami Beracha played in the Israeli national tennis league, Maccabi Tel Aviv, and in 1980, joined the military. After being recruited to the Israel Defense Forces within the Israeli army, the famous high-tech investor served for a time in the Paratroopers Brigade Infantry. Two years after Rami Beracha’s recruitment, he returned from the battlefield with honors as a platoon commander.
After years of incredible work and leadership within the Israel Defense Forces, Rami Beracha, unfortunately, stepped on a mine during an operation in the Chouf Mountains in Lebanon. However, even losing a hand and foot due to a mine could never stop the force that is Rami Beracha. He still services his country in an elite unit in the reserves, and by 2018, Rami Beracha received the rank of major Division of the Fire Brigade and the Paratroopers Brigade.
Of course, an honorable military career is not the only incredible goal this incredible businessman would achieve. Rami Beracha began with a Bachelor of Laws at Tel Aviv University and obtained a Master of Laws from Fordman University in New York City. In addition, the future businessman would also go on to finish an MBA at INSEAD in France in 1996. After earning multiple business degrees, Rami Beracha joined the largest venture capital fund in Israel, Pitango Venture, in 1996. By 2000, he was a managing partner. At Pitango Venture, Rami Beracha invested in several high-tech firms. However, he primarily focused on investing in seeds of companies with a vision to make a change in their field.
In 2010, Rami Beracha decided that it was time to create his own company, Sosa. As the founder of Sosa, Rami Beracha works with Goni Sacks and Barak Pridor in Tel Aviv. For Sosa, he serves as a chairman on the Board of Directors, offering his experience and knowledge. Rami Beracha has extensive knowledge in the high-tech world, creating a bridge between small Israeli startups and international companies. Because of Rami Beracha, these small tech startups have a better chance at finding their place in the international high-tech market.
Rami Beracha serves as a role model and literal guide for Israeli soldiers during their army service. He also works with the technology startup 6Degrees, which helps those with upper limb deficiency use smart devices. As a father, a husband, a veteran, a businessman, and a role model, Rami Beracha is more than an impressive resume.
